Katharina Hager has been captivated by creativity since her childhood, always seeking ways to express herself through hands-on creation. While her professional journey led her through computer science and marketing, she never abandoned her artistic pursuits. Graphic design became a constant companion, reflecting her deep creative inclinations. However, it was ceramic art that truly captivated her, leading her to dedicate herself to clay and the creation of organic, natural forms.

Katharina has become a renowned figure within ceramic art inspiring others to immerse themselves in play and having successfully published two books on mindful creation.

Turn 02 embodies Katharina Hager's signature ceramic art style. Crafted from unglazed stoneware, the piece celebrates the raw, natural beauty of the material, inviting a tactile and visual exploration of its organic form. The absence of glaze allows the inherent textures and colours of the clay to take centre stage, creating a sense of earthiness and authenticity.

Turn 02 is part of the "turn series" by Katharina, in which she gives the clay space to surrender to its natural form. She does not intervene to direct it but follows what the material creates of its own accord. The forms emerge from a natural flow, a surrender to the forces of nature. When the clay finally takes on an organic form that almost no longer looks like clay, it fills her with a deep sense of peace. This line stands for her trust in life itself - that everything falls correctly, just as it should.
