ORGANIC FORMS FOR MEDITATION AND LOVE

ALICJA PODGÓRSKA BIRKNER

Driven by a lifelong fascination with organic forms and the power of "vibrant calmness," Alicja draws inspiration from the inherent beauty and energy of natural materials. She sees herself as a conduit, allowing the essence of stone and clay to manifest in shapes that soothe the soul and awaken the senses.

Born and raised in Poland, the artist honed her craft at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where she discovered her passion for clay and three-dimensional expression. For over three decades, she has lived and worked in Germany, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the international art scene.

'IN THE ACT OF CREATION, I SEEK TO SIMPLIFY AND ENRICH LIFE. MY SCULPTURES ARE AN INVITATION TO PAUSE, BREATHE AND RECONNECT WITH THE QUIET BEAUTY THAT RESIDES WITHIN US ALL.'

Her sculptural works are characterized by their smooth, flowing lines, often incorporating "step" forms or multiple parts. Each piece is a testament to the artist's mastery of material and dedication to creating objects that inspire contemplation and foster a sense of inner peace.
