Roxane Lhéoté is a French ceramic artist and art director, based between Paris and Mainz. A graduate in Deep Typography from Hochschule Mainz and DNAP from ésad Amiens, Roxane has gained recognition for her raw, tactile ceramics that bridge the worlds of art and design. Her practice, shaped by her background in graphic design and interior work, reflects an ongoing exploration of organic forms, new techniques, and natural textures.

Roxane’s work has been featured in galleries across Europe. She was also named one of the Top 5 Emerging Talents by AD Germany in 2023, further establishing her as a prominent figure in the contemporary ceramics scene.

This piece, crafted from firesand clay, exemplifies Roxane Lhéoté’s skillful exploration of form and balance. Composed of several carefully shaped half-spheres, each element was formed using self-made molds, lending the work an architectural precision. The raw texture of the firesand clay embraces the material’s natural ruggedness, while the soft, stacked forms create a harmonious contrast.

In her signature single-firing process, Roxane allows the clay’s imperfections to shine through, giving the piece its distinct tactile quality.
