DESCRIPTION
Clare Palmer’s sculptures named 'Flawed' explore the tension between outward appearances and the emotional struggles that lie beneath. Using her signature combination of handbuilt forms and sculptural vessels, Palmer crafts pieces that embody the delicate balance between strength and fragility. The outward perfection of the forms subtly betrays the inner turmoil they conceal. Through the use of porcelain and stoneware, Palmer manipulates the material to create tension in the curved forms, symbolizing the emotional strain of holding everything in just to carry on.
Flawed stands as a metaphor for the internal battles we face, asking viewers to look beyond the surface to discover the vulnerability within.
